It's feeling like a Chanel day

And then…what is the Monday Poll?

Well, it isn't exactly a poll. It's more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I've been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past 10 (!) years. (It'due south like a kickstart for your brain.) I've ever enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.?

1. Are you a cool girl?

Most certainly non!

2. What's the most y'all've ever spent on a hair styling tool?

I threw down 200 bucks on a T3 dorsum in the 24-hour interval. Information technology was around the time they starting time came out, and I was blow-drying my hair almost daily at the fourth dimension. That thing dramatically cut down on the time I spent in the bathroom.

It's been almost a decade since I bought it, and information technology's yet going strong. It was a good value.

3. How well practice yous think y'all could pull off blood-red hair?

Pretty well, I think! I did bright Kool-Aid red streaks a few times years ago, and it was fun. Information technology was hard to keep upwardly with, though, because the color basically wanted to drain outta my hair every time I washed it.

4. You have a pimple on your face. Practice yous pop it or leave information technology lonely?

I leave it lone as long as I tin can. Then, when it's ripe, I secretly popular it in the bath in the middle of the night…

5. If you had to cull someone to cut your hair in consummate darkness, who would you choose?

My friend Alis, of form. Information technology would be terrifying, but if anyone could pull it off, information technology would be her.

Sh*t. I think I'd accept a better chance of surviving The Hunger Games, to be honest.

7. Information technology'southward 1997. What'south in your little black backpack?

My UC Davis student ID (which also doubled equally my bus laissez passer), the keys to the apartment I shared with roommates who I never talked to again after graduation, a bottle of Estée Lauder Pleasures perfume, a tube of MAC Paramount Lipstick, my CD thespian (complete with Missy Elliott CD), my wallet (which probably had paycheck stubs from the 3 jobs I held simultaneously at the fourth dimension — foreign language teaching banana, on-campus receptionist, man guinea squealer for psychology experiments) and a mint green Sakura Gelly Roll Pen.

Yous know what my mantra has been lately? For every trouble, at that place'southward always a solution. Recollect that you can handle whatever comes your way!
